The Shropshire Branch of the Embroiderers invite you to a talk by Mary Sleigh. Mary is a leading textile artist who regularly exhibits. Her illustrated talk, ‘Inspiration from Africa’ will include some of her personal work and examples from her extensive collection of African textiles, beadwork and baskets. Following the talk, Mary will run a day workshop at The Lantern, Shrewsbury on Wednesday, July 7th. The workshop title is ‘African Inspiration – working with fabric and thread’.
